TEVEZ: MANYOO DISRESPECTED ME
Carlos Tevez is leaving Manchester United. Never mind the waving lark when he was substituted on Saturday or his refusal to offer any indication that he would stay when he was cornered afterwards by that chap from Sky Sports, just consider these remarks he is reported to have given to an Argentine radio station:
"I know that I am not going to continue at Manchester United. I feel that they have lacked respect towards me. It's not about whether they pay £5m more or £5m less, but I feel I have been badly treated. There are ways in which the club is managed that I don't understand.
"When you don't agree with the manager in how the club is run...I don't have faith in a lot of things that happen here. I've been here for two years and the directors have never come to speak to me. Not once have I had a meeting with them. Therefore, it's best that I leave the club so as not to clash with Alex Ferguson and the directors. Neither do I understand why I don't play in the team.
"I've asked Kia not to speak to me about offers during the next 10 days. I want to concentrate only on the final matches that we have to play."
THE CLUBS IN FOR TEVEZ ARE...
According to the Sunday Mirror, 'Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and Aston Villa are all vying to sign the Argentine striker this summer.'
There's just one hitch:
'But none of the clubs is prepared to meet the £28million asking price that Tevez's owner Kia Joorabchian is believed to be demanding for his protegee.'
Sorry, make that two hitches:
'The issue is further complicated by the issue of third-party ownership, which has now been outlawed by the Premier League.
'No club can recruit Tevez on a loan deal. They must acquire his registration outright and become the player's sole owner.
'The Premier League has also informed prospective buyers that their understanding is that Tevez is within his legal rights to break his contract with Joorabchian and negotiate his own deal. But that is an unlikely option given his close relationship with Joorabchian, the 38-year-old Iranian-born businessman.'
According to The Sunday Mirror, City are Chelsea are the favourites to sign Tevez because they boast 'the financial resources to negotiate a cash deal but Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa would have to raise any fee by off-loading players before they even contemplate entering transfer and salary negotiations.'
We don't believe it for a second, but it says next that 'Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to sell Nicklas Bendtner to West Ham in a £10m move to help fund his move for Tevez.'
ARSENE HAS JUST £13m TO SPEND?
You might have heard Andy Gray claim in ManYoo-Arsenal commentary that he expects Arsene Wenger to spend £60m this summer, but The Mail on Sunday claims that the Arsenal manager's budget 'has been slashed to £13million by the board.'
Jeepers. MPs receive more than that for their second home.
'Wenger, who expected at least £15m, is now limited in the players he can bring in - and it is essential that the club receive at least £20m from AC Milan or Chelsea for striker Emmanuel Adebayor.'
Blimey. And there's still a sting in the tale to consider:
'Any income Wenger can raise from sales will be added to his transfer fund. Some additional money, on top of the £13m, has also been allocated to complete the re-signings of Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie.
'Both players are expected to sign four-year contracts with Arsenal this summer and Fabregas is likely to command a £3m signing-on fee.'
FINISHING OFF WITH THE INEVITABLE CITY STORY
As there's not much gossip around, let's just be grateful for Manchester City.
The inevitable tittle-tattle about them is that, according to The People, 'Manchester City will make an ambitious bid to pull off another Robinho-style coup at Real Madrid - by pitching for young £30million strike star Gonzalo Higuain.
'And City could also be offered Ronaldinho for a cut-price £15m as Eastlands prepares for a hectic summer of transfer activity.'

"Arsenal need someone to sit in front of defence, enter lorik cana, the guys a nutter but a born leader captains albania...CB everyones saying Hangeland, and i wouldnt mind that at all, djourou can stay as back up for him. gallas can go back to france, so we can add to our petty 13mil(get bassong when newcastle go down on the cheap). sell the passionate adebayor for 20 and buy a striker like him but wants to play for us!! its a simple job really "

"treeman: 6 goals in 9 CL games, and Adebayor wasn't the only Arsenal non-performer in the semis."

"the deal of the season will be whoever gets Tuncay from Boro. what a waste if he ends up at Villa, will be glad to not be in the same division as Chelski if they sign him."

"I would LOVE to see Tevez go to city, if nothing else his energy would show Robinho up and force him to put some more effort in, which when you add the likes of Stevie Ireland and Nigel De Jong could make them a smashing team to watch next season.
As a Gooner I have to say I'm looking forward to us selling Adebayor, don't get me wrong he's scored some great goals for us but he just doesn't look to have his heart in the team anymore and that kind of thing can unsettle what is already a VERY fragile dressing room. I think Diaby may need to go as well, he's never looked the same after the injury (prior to which he was beginning to dominate a very weak midfield for us). The money from these two, and whatever the board is willing to chip in (hopefully more than 13mil) on a GIANT centre back (Hangeland, maybe Metersacker(?) or one of the german back line), a back up centre back (Upson?) because lets be honest, Gallas and Toure just can't play together any more, and a midfield spoiler, a man with no pretension who is willing just to sit in front of the centre backs in a Gilberto-esque way and block off the opposition. That way Song can learn his trade off someone who already knows the position, Djourou can be used sparingly or sent on loan to improve, and Silvestre can p**s off and play with the reserves.
And fingers crossed Arsene will remember we are team who excel in a 442 and drop this ridiclious 451 which has cost us so dearly in the league despite its efficiency in Europe. Ah for the days of electric running football that made our name, sadly the best in the world at that are now United. Gits. :o)"

"", we'll get at least £20m for Ade from some team stupid enough to have only watched him in the Champions League". Yep, because the top teams are looking for a striker to fit neatly inside Vidic's pocket. "

"What Andy Gray actually said was the Arsenal board must pay whatever Wenger asks from them.Wenger must have whatever he wants to spend not that Gray expects £60M."
Wenger_hole
"Bendtner's going nowhere, Tevez is never a target (unfortunately), we'll get at least £20m for Ade from some team stupid enough to have only watched him in the Champions League and Wenger has more than £13m to spend anyway. Not that he will. Yipee."

"I don't believe that Wenger only has 13M to spend, board and Wenger now know we need to buy a couple of experienced players. Yes we probably will sell a player this summer, but not to fund other transfers, just to balance squad, a lot of attacking players, too many perhaps. My guess is that it could well be Ade, Wengers comments during the week suggested that if we get the offers this summer and he wants to go then the deal will happen...
I think having RVP, Eduardo, Arshavin, Walcott and Bendtner front is a lot of attacking options...scoring goals will never be a problem for us, it is keeping them out, looking forward to this tranfer window...should be interesting"

"I would love to see tevez at chelsea next season, he could be the missing piece up forward that we didn't have this season.
P.S Congrats to ManUtd on winning the league this year hopefully we (Chelsea) can push you a little harder next season"
