Watch: Mason Mount sits Fernandinho on the floor with clever first touch

Mason Mount got revenge against Fernandinho during Chelsea‘s FA Cup semi-final victory over Manchester City.

Fernandinho was seemingly tasked with eliminating the threat of Mount and gave him some rough treatment throughout the game.

In the 17th minute, Fernandinho knocked the England international to the ground and then attempted to jump over him but his right boot appeared to catch his opponent’s eye.

The 35-year-old made another late challenge moments later but Mount got a touch on the ball, leaving Fernandinho in a heap on the floor.

During the second half, Fernandinho struggled to keep up with his opponent and tried to manhandle him on the left wing.

Mount then showed brilliant strength and determination to skip past Fernandinho before driving towards the City goal.

Hakim Ziyech’s goal gave Chelsea a 1-0 win and they’ll now face either Leicester City or Southampton in the final.
